Never Again is a unique and deeply moving exhibition, curated by the citizens of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the only human beings to have ever suffered an atomic bombing in wartime.
This travelling exhibition is coming to Western Australia for the very first time in 2025, and will be accompanied by one of the few surviving hibakusha – the Japanese term for a person who affected by the bombings. This exhibition offers Perth a rare opportunity to experience a powerful narrative of remembrance, resilience, and progress towards a world free of nuclear weapons.
The exhibition runs from 10 May 2025 until 21 June 2025 at the Holmes à Court Gallery @ no.10, West Perth.
The exhibition features:
- Artefacts and photographs: Original items and powerful images from Hiroshima and Nagasaki
- Personal stories: Accounts that highlight the human toll of the bombings
- Interactive elements: Multimedia presentations to engage visitors and deepen their understanding
- Special guests: Meet a survivor of the bombings, and local and international experts
- Educational program: Sessions for school groups
- Film program: Screenings of iconic films on war and peace at the Backlot Cinema
Thank you to our sponsors! Sponsorship opportunities have now closed.
You can still support the exhibition, and work to abolish nuclear weapons, by making a donation to MAPW. Every dollar raised for the duration of the exhibition will directly fund training and support for the next generation of activists working to fulfil the ambition of the global hibakusha: never again.
