With: Professor David S. Meyer, Professor of Sociology, Political Science, and Planning, Policy, and Design at the University of California, Irvine.
Professor Meyer’s interests include social movements, political sociology, and public policy, and he is concerned with the relationships between social movements and the political contexts in which they emerge. He teaches courses on social movements, social problems, and sociological theory. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from Boston University, and a B.A. from Hampshire College, where he studied literature.
He is interested to exchange ideas with members of local peace and social justice groups.
