MAPW National Council meeting
MAPW’s National Council meeting will be held in Melbourne over the weekend of 2-3 October 2010.
On the Friday evening, an informal session will include a report-back from president Bill Williams, and ACF’s Dave Sweeney, on their speaking tour of the Kimberleys, talking on hazards of uranium mining to communities and workers.

On the Friday evening, an informal session will include a report-back from president Bill Williams, and ACF’s Dave Sweeney, on their speaking tour of the Kimberleys, talking on hazards of uranium mining to communities and workers.
Saturday and Sunday morning will include educational presentations, skills workshops, and formal reports and strategy sessions.
It is the role of National Council to make decisions on strategy and policy for MAPW. However all members are invited to attend and participate either for all or part of the weekend. The meeting will be held in Meeting Room 1, Trades Hall, 54 Victoria Street Carlton (opposite our office in main hallway).
On Saturday evening, a dinner will be held at La Notte restaurant (140 Lygon Street Carlton) with Professor Rob Moodie as guest speaker, talking on war and global health.
