Jenny is a well-known Macedon Ranges GP, a past president of the Medical Association for Prevention of War Australia, and founding member of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN).
Jenny helped to develop ICAN eleven years ago to start a new approach outside of the NPT to achieving abolition of nukes.
ICAN won the 2017 Nobel Peace prize for its work to achieve the UN treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. So far 59 nations have signed and 11 ratified the treaty, but not yet Australia.
Jenny will speak about what we now need to do to take the world to complete nuclear abolition.
