Avoiding nuclear war in Northeast Asia

The medical consequences of nuclear war
IPPNWi and its US affiliate, Physicians for Social Responsibility, have produced a new video on the medical, environmental, and humanitarian consequences of nuclear war, featuring IPPNWi Co-President Ira Helfand. The video was made at the urging of the Norwegian Red Cross, which had asked for an educational resource that could be used by national Red Cross and Red Crescent societies in support of their resolution calling for the elimination of nuclear weapons.

The journal of ERW and mine action
A journal produced by CISR (Centre for International Stabilization and Recovery) and sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Political-Military Bureau, Department of Weapons Removal and Abatement (PM/WRA) and the U.S. Army Humanitarian Demining Program. It aims to be "a forum for humanitarian mine action- and explosive remnants of war-clearance best practices and methodologies, strategy planning, mine-risk education, and survivors’ assistance".

On 29 November 2012 Ira Helfand, Co-President of IPPNWi, took part in a "webinar" on nuclear weapons and nuclear weapons testing. INESAP
INESAP is the International Network of Engineers and Scientists Against Proliferation is a non-profit, non-governmental network organization with participants from all over the world.
The objectives of the network are to promote non-proliferation and disarmament with regards to weapons of mass destruction and the delivery systems associated with them, promoting critical analyses of technical, scientific and political issues associated with nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction and working to develop disarmament concepts. Its members contribute their scientific expertise to efforts aimed at transforming and strengthening existing arms control and non-proliferation regimes.

Act For Peace is the international aid agency of the National Council of Churches in Australia.The organization aims to empower war-torn communities to reduce poverty, protect refugees and prevent further conflict.
