MAPW attending UN Nuclear Non Proliferation meeting
30 APRIL 2009. MAPW Vice-Presidents (and ICANi Board Members) Tilman Ruff and Ruth Mitchell are headed for New York where they will attend the NPTi PrepCom (the 2009 United Nations Preparatory Committee for next year’s review of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty).
Tilman, with anti-nuclear activist John Hallam, has been invited to be on the official Australian delegation; while Ruth will be working with ICAN’s Dimity Hawkins, analysing and reporting back, and meeting to share information and strategies with other anti-nuclear groups from around the world.
