Guest speaker at the MAPW July dinner will be Professor Louise Newman, psychiatrist and director of the Centre for Developmental Psychiatry & Psychology, Monash University. Prof. Newman, who's a strong advocate for refugees and asylum seekers, has researched the link between time in detention and rates of mental illness.
