Australian Nuclear Free Alliance: Annual Meeting

Event Date:
Sat, 05/09/2009 - 00:00 - Sun, 06/09/2009 - 00:00
Location:
Quorn, South Australia

Over the past decade, the Alliance has become an increasingly important forum for collaboration between environmental and public health NGOis and Aboriginal people affected by the nuclear industry.  The Alliance played an important role in initiating and building the successful campaigns to stop the Jabiluka uranium mine and a national nuclear dump proposed for South Australia.

The upcoming Alliance meeting in early September comes at a vital time given the pressure to increase the number of uranium mines in Australia, and the push to build a nuclear waste dump in the Northern Territory.

Attendance is by invitation, but MAPW has been asked to send representatives.  If you are interested in being a representative for MAPW contact nancy [dot] atkin [at] mapw [dot] org [dot] au
