Sri Lanka human rights: MAPW writes to PM

This letter from MAPW President Dr Bill Williams to Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, congratulates the Australian Senate on its recent resolution regarding the investigation of alleged human rights abuses during the final stages of Sri Lanka's civil war in 2009. Other requests made to the Government in the letter included requesting the United Nations to consider prosecuting the Sri Lankan State forces for committing war crimes; and the removal of the suspension on processing of Sri Lankan asylum seekers.
