Militarising Australian History: MAPW paper 1, Marilyn Lake. February 2012

The first in a series on war and militarism in Australia, this two-page paper written for MAPW by Professor Marilyn Lake argues that the militarisation of Australian history has increased dramatically. The assumption that national history is military history is now widespread; while commemoration of other national achievements is much more limited. (This version is designed for viewing online. There's also a higher quality version which will look better when printed.)
