West Papuan Refugees tell their stories and speak out about the current situation in West Papua. Also, investigative documentaries 'Raising West Papua' and 'Rainforest Warriors' and new films documenting parliamentarians in support of West Papua are being shown.

2008 Defence White Paper: MAPW submission

Submission prepared by MAPW President Sue Wareham to the Defence White Paper, covering issues raised by Dr Wareham during the community consultation around the Defence Department's discussion paper, Key Questions for Defence in the 21st Century.

West Papua

West Papua, or Irian Jaya as it is called by Indonesia, is the western half of the island of New Guinea, sharing a common border with the independent nation of Papua New Guinea. It is only 250kms from Australia.
