Special screening of the documentary Silenced voices:tales of Sri Lankan journalists in exile.This film tells the story of scores of Sri Lankan journalists from the Tamil minority and Sinhalese majority communities who have been forced into exile for exposing war crimes, corruption and massacres of Tamil civilians by the Sri Lankan state.

To mark International Day of Peace 2012 and launch the Independent and Peaceful Australia Network (IPAN).

Under the chairmanship of Morag Fraser OA, the 8th annual World Matters Literary Festival explores human rights, international politics, social justice and environmental issues through world literature and music.
On the second day MAPW's Carole Wigg will chair the session "Transparant democracy". MAPW President Jenny Grounds will also be speaking.
