The Victorian branch is numerically the largest in Australia. Victoria is host to the National Office of MAPW, and members have played an active role in national affairs.

The Branch has an elected Coordinator, Secreatary and Treasurer, who plan activities together with active members working in a variety of health care professions in urban and rural areas; and student members from local universities.

Victorian members and supporters receive a fortnightly email with details of MAPW and local peace events. Email vic [at] mapw [dot] org [dot] au to request to subscribe.

The Branch meets on the second Tuesday of every month. Meetings alternate between public meetings highlighting new research into nuclear and peace issues; and planning meetings for Branch activities and campaigns. (See the events list at right for future meetings)

Many members attend regular peace activities such as Palm Sunday, and Hiroshima Day; other activities are organised jointly with other groups with an interest in peace and the abolition of nuclear weapons.

Victorian members are active in the promotion and organisation of ICANi, which is based in Melbourne. Contact the National Office to organise an ICANi speaker.
