Remembering our war dead: The case against more war memorials

The Medical Association for Prevention of War has questioned the wisdom of the proposal to build two large new war memorials in Canberra.

The proposed towers, each 20 metres high, would stand beside Lake Burley Griffin at the end of Anzac Parade, dominating the lakeside and radically altering the sweeping views between the Australian War Memorial and Parliament House.
